PROJECT DESCRIPTION

During the presentation of the fourth group of participants, the work will be

Vastenburg at Poppodium NEW NOR.

Roy Vastenburg, Krista Smulders, Fran Hoebergen en Yaël Wolfs hebben zich
de afgelopen drie maanden bezig gehouden met het werken aan een absurdistische
musical met vogels in de hoofdrol. Hun startpunt ‘musical’ bevraagt de
samenkomst van beeld(-ende kunst) en muziek niet, maar bevestigt de combinatie.
Zo heeft muziek een vanzelfsprekende rol in hun samenwerking gespeeld. De wederzijdse
beïnvloeding tussen beeld en geluid speelt een belangrijke rol in de
ontwikkeling van hun werk en komt in hun voorstelling tot uiting.

After a period of consultation, meetings and research, the group went
together at Greylight Projects in Hoensbroek. There
they have used the artists’ studio and residence. In this
close collaboration, attributes, costumes, decors, stories, songs and characters
have been created. In their roadmap, exhibition and performance they will
be presented.

Nina Willems has helped Nina Willems to make a scene with these elements
. She has given the group an insight into the formation
of a performance and has subsequently rehearsed with them.
